I believe a creative act is the highest possible form of expression for a human being.
Because any other act is coming from the rational mind, which is just a mirror of the society a person live in and the education they received. Any action or idea that lacks creativity isn't genuinely new, personal, or unique, but just a variation of something that already exists, and that we learned (directly or indirectly) during our early years of life.
Instead, any idea or action coming from the creative mind is coming from the unknown and the exploration of the void, and therefore it is a pure, free and new expression.
The article summary:
Unleash Your Creative Superpower!
Discover the incredible power of creativity and how it connects us to our deepest selves. Learn how art, in its truest form, is a journey to wholeness and spirituality. Art and spirituality are intertwined on this remarkable journey, each enhancing the other. Your creativity is your superpower, leading you to self-completion and a path to spiritual awakening. And the best part? Making art is not only transformative but incredibly fun!
So, for me, what makes a good artist isn't their level of tecnical skills and neither how much their art can evoke emotions or so, but to what degree they can free themselves of any concept and constraint, so they can explore and express something truly new, within themselves and on the outside.
Expressing something truly new is also what makes a human being much more similar to a god, rather than to an animal, which just replicate behaviour learned for the sake of survaival.
And because of that, if we aspire to truly evolve and grow as human beings, we should all strive to be creative. And I don't mean we should all be full-time artists, but rather that we should all be seeking creative expression in our day to day life.
Anyone wanting to be whole and feel complete onto themselves, would necessarily need to fully engage and express their creative side too. And there's no other way than arts to do so.
In fact, if you think about who's truly and naturally expressing themselves fully at all time, you know they are children.
And children make art on a daily basis, as part of their being and exploration of life: they draw, paint, sing, play music, make stories up using their imagination and many other creative acts.
And when we look at children being in their creative space, we can't avoid realising how happy, free and full of joy they are. In other words, how whole they are and feel.
So, whatever we aspire to grow spiritually or "simply" feeling good with ourselves, art is the answer.
In fact, when art is reduced to a mere technical or rational act, it doesn't allow us to explore the unknown, and so to truly evolve and grow. And, of course, neither when art is made on the premises of success, being liked or appreciated by others, or fulfilling the need to belong with the cool kids.
For art to manifest its full benefits, we must strive to take a deep dive into the void, and to create from there.
That means we need to get rid of our fears, our assumptions, concepts and ideas, and little by little starting to explore our being beyond who we think we are.
And when we start to do so, we quickly realize 2 things:
I think art is just our superpower: it is our way of completing ourselves and our way to reach spiritual awakening and enlightment.
And ultimately, making art is also a hell of a lot of fun!
